You earn Cashback Bonus on every purchase just by using your Discover card.

• You can earn 5% Cashback Bonus on category purchases up to the dollar amount of purchases specified in each program. Categories change throughout the year and include categories like travel, home improvement stores, department stores, gas and groceries. View the current 5% Cashback Bonus program details. You must sign up for each 5% program. As described below, category purchases in excess of the specified amounts will automatically earn up to 1% Cashback Bonus.
• You can also earn 5% to 20% Cashback Bonus at top online retailers through our exclusive online shopping mall, ShopDiscover.
• You automatically earn up to 1% Cashback Bonus on all your other purchases. You will earn 1% unlimited Cashback Bonus on purchases after your total annual purchases exceed $3000; purchases that are part of your first $3000 earn .25%. Warehouse purchases (those made at select warehouse clubs, discount stores and their affiliates) earn .25%. We do not include warehouse purchases or 5% category purchases in calculating your total annual purchases.

What should I do if I have not received my 5% Cashback Bonus after making a category purchase?

First, be sure to check the terms of the program. You earn 5% Cashback Bonus on category purchases up to the dollar amount of purchases specified in each program so make sure that your purchase was in the correct category and your total purchases in the category have not exceeded the dollar amount specified for that program. Also, please note the date of your category purchase and the date that you signed up for the program as you will earn 5% Cashback Bonus beginning on the start date of the program or the date you signed up, whichever is later. Finally, 5% Cashback Bonus is generally posted to your account within eight weeks. What are my redemption options?

You may redeem Cashback Bonus for Partner gift cards, merchandise, Discover gift cards or charitable donations starting at $20.
You may redeem Cashback Bonus for cash in the form of a direct deposit to your bank account or a credit to your Discover card account in $50 increments, starting at $50.
You may select more than one redemption method so long as each redemption is in one of the above amounts.

Will my Cashback Bonus ever expire?

Your Cashback Bonus rewards have no expiration date; however, if your account is closed for any reason or inactive for 18 consecutive months or if you fail to make the Minimum Payment Due by the Payment Due Date for two consecutive billing periods, your Cashback Bonus will be forfeited.
